PETALING JAYA: Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah today consented to the appointment of three new commissioners to the Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission (EAIC).

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the newly appointed commissioners are Public Services Commission chairman Mahmood Adam and former Federal Court judges Aziah Ali and Alizatul Khair Osman Khairuddin.

It said the appointment came into force on Nov 1 and would last for a period of three years.

It added that the appointments completed the existing EAIC line up, led by chairman and former chief secretary to the government Mohd Sidek Hassan. The earlier members are former Federal Court judge Zainun Ali, former High Court judge John Louis O’Hara and International Islamic University Malaysia legal adviser Nik Ahmad Kamal Nik Mahmod.

“This EAIC line up will continue to spur the EAIC’s goals and commitment in upholding the integrity of regulatory enforcement agencies,” said the statement.
