KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 27 (Bernama) -- The reluctance to reprimand other people for their wrongdoings for the sake of "minding your own business' will only bring more harm to the country especially when it relates to integrity and corruption, said Malaysian Institute of Integrity (Integriti) president Dr Anis Yusal Yusoff.

He said a lot had been said about integrity these days but it had not been translated into awareness and action.

"Policies to protect whistleblowers have long existed in Malaysia but are the public aware if they have the right to report on wrongdoings?

"'Never mind, let us mind our own business' this phrase and attitude can no longer be used. If we do not report on wrongdoings it will be detrimental to the country and will lead to losses because some people accept bribes so that others can escape paying taxes," he said.....
