DATUK SITI ZAINAB OMAR was born on 31 May 1963 in Selangor. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Essex, United Kingdom (1985) and a Certificate of Barrister from Gray's Inn, United Kingdom (1986).

Datuk Siti Zainab Omar has extensive experience in the field of law and justice through service as Treasury Counsel at the Ministry of Finance (2009), Deputy Head of the Advisory Division (Municipal), Senior Federal Counsel at the Attorney General's Department (AGC) (2012), Legal Officer at AGC (2013), Head of the Advisory Division, AGC Federal Principal Adviser (2014) and State Solicitor II (2018 to 2023).

Throughout her service, Datuk Siti Zainab Omar was awarded the title of Panglima Jasa Negara (P.J.N.).

Datuk Siti Zainab Omar has been appointed as Commissioner of EAIC by His Majesty the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong XVI with effect from 1 February 2024 for a period of three years.
